We strongly recommend calling (610-948-7127) or emailing (info@sfahs.com) before your visit, just to make sure our volunteers are on site.  Volunteer hosts sometimes must cancel at the last minute.

There is so much to see!

  • Revamped and updated display areas in both the Farmhouse and Gallery

  • New Photography exhibit in the Gallery

  • Regular hours have resumed:  Sundays, 1:00-3:00PM; Wednesdays, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Or by special appointment)

  • Our next closures in our regular schedule will be Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11 & Memorial Day weekend, Sunday, May 25.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY NEWS

LOCAL HISTORY PROGRAMS

The historical society has announced the 2025 dates for its annual local history programs as well as topics for three of the four:

  • April 9 - Bicentennial of the Schuylkill Navigation System

  • June 11 - History of Arlington's Tomb of the Unknowns

  • September 17 - Local Art & Artists

  • November 12 - An Evening with Gen. George Washington

All programs start at 7:00 PM and are held at the Royersford VFW, 730 S. Fourth Ave.​  (Note the new start time!)

FAMILY SUMMER HISTORY PROGRAM

SCHEDULE TO BE ANNOUNCED

The schedule for the summer's Family History Programs will announced shortly and online registration will soon open for K-6 children.  Children registered will have activity packets for each program prepared in advance and waiting for them.

SPECIAL EVENT

VINCENT CANAL HISTORICAL MARKER

SFAHS has received a grant from the Pomeroy Foundation and has created a marker to commemorate the Vincent Canal which came through Spring City and was responsible for its founding and growth.  Stay tuned for information on the marker's dedication.
