LOCAL HISTORY PROGRAMS
The historical society has announced the 2026 dates for its annual local history programs which will focus on topics related to the country's 250th anniversary:

April 8 - General Washington's Travel Camp Chest by Scott Houting of Peter Wentz Farmstead

June 10 - Lighting in Early American Society by Peggy & Greg Gessaman

September 9 - Sewing the Symbol, History of Flag Manufacturing in SE Penna. by Candace Perry

November 11 - Revolutionary War Medicine by Dr. Frederick Magner
All programs start at 7:00 PM and are held at the Royersford VFW, 730 S. Fourth Ave.

SPECIAL EVENT
VINCENT CANAL HISTORICAL MARKER
SFAHS has received a grant from the Pomeroy Foundation and has created a marker to commemorate the Vincent Canal which came through Spring City and was responsible for its founding and growth. Stay tuned for information on the marker's dedication.
